Isn’t Customized Sales Training More Expensive?

Not necessarily! A typical program we run for one of our clients would have 12 participants (we have found this to be an optimum number for learning where case studies and simulations are involved) and be of 2-3 days duration. There are usually 2 elements to the assignments we undertake; firstly a development phase where we work with the client to determine what specific deliverables they need from the program and the second a facilitation phase where we deliver the workshop, more often than not to multiple groups across the organization. The development phase varies in its complexity depending on whether it is a brand new “from scratch” initiative or a customization of one of our existing core program. The “from scratch” approach is usually employed when a company is embarking on a new, pioneering initiative where it intends to put a large number of its key staff through the program. The development costs are higher but can be amortized over a far larger number of participants. If the need is to have a smaller, more focused program (e.g., negotiation or category growth planning for Key Account teams) we would typically use an existing framework but then fully customize it to your specific needs. The alternative to our customized approach is to send your team on a public course which can typically cost anywhere from $500 per person upwards. What we offer at Pearson Consulting is a bespoke approach to your training requirements at a cost which we believe offers great value for your investment since it is highly efficient, being 100% relevant to your company needs and to the industry in which you operate.
